Coronation Memories
Watsonians remember Coronations past
When we realised that no one in school had any memories of a previous Coronation, we knew who to ask! Watsonians sent us their memories and lent us their souvenirs from 1953 and the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and from 1937, when the late Queen’s parents, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were crowned.
A Coronation Exhibition was mounted in the Senior School Entrance Hall. A Procession of Coronation Memories appeared around the school too.
