Watsonian Community Choir Spring Concert

Watsonian Community Choir Spring Concert

Published on 7 May 2018

A lovely, sunny spring evening on Saturday 5 May saw the inaugural concert from the newly established Watsonian Community Choir.

A packed audience in Colinton Parish Church enjoyed performances including Now is the Month of Maying, Pastime with Good Company, Alleluia by William Boyce and the world premiere of Watson's Assistant Director of Music, Steven Griffin's own piece, It was a Lover and his Lass.

The Choir was set up following the 'scratch' choir created for the world premiere of A Book of Blessings at the Usher Hall in March 2017. The proceeds from this concert will be donated to both Tiphereth – a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs – and the George Watson's Family Foundation.
