Watson's Pupils Share Their Experiences Of Learning Mandarin

Watson's pupils shared their grasp of the Mandarin language by addressing the Fifth China Youth Summit.

Lucy Bennett (S6) and Rachael Kneen (S5) spoke at the event, held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre last Friday, sharing their experiences of learning the language. 37 schools were represented, including ten from Hong Kong, among the 555 delegates. The conference also including dancing from the Edinburgh Chinese Community School and a presentation about China from historian Michael Wood.

The conference was run by the Scotland China Education Network (SCEN), whose Chair is Dr Judith McClure CBE. Dr McClure recently joined Watson's Board of Governors.
