Watson's Drummers Are Champions of Europe

Our Novice (A) and Juvenile bands travelled north to compete at the European Pipe Band Championships at Grant Park in Forres on Saturday 25 June.

The Juvenile drummers at Watson's finished as the Best Drum Corps and were crowned European Champions for the twelfth time. This followed on from the drum corps' success in winning the best drum corps prize at the British Championships in Paisley in May, and also the UK Championships in Belfast earlier this month. Our Juvenile band narrowly missed out on top spot, having to settle for a very good second place after an excellent performance.

Not to be outdone, our Novice Juvenile (A) drummers were also crowned European Champions in their grade, with the Novice Juvenile band finishing third in a very strong field.

Overall, another very successful day for our pupils.
