The match which took place yesterday at Myreside on what was a cold night was witnessed by a large crowd. It started well for Watson's with a try by Matt Irvine (S5) and a conversion from Jamie Forbes (S6) early in the match. However those seven points were to be the total for the home side.

Fettes fought back with an unconverted try in the 22 minute and another five minutes later. The match was decided by a converted try in the first minute of the second half by Stuart Daly (his second of the match).

It is disappointing that the U18s went out preventing the Watson's double next Wednesday, at Murrayfield, but the Watson's supporters will be there to cheer on the U15s who will be attempting to win the U15 Scottish cup for the third year in a row.

Their match against Edinburgh Academy starts at 6pm.
