This evening, both George Watson's College and Merchiston Castle School will be playing in the Brewin Dolphin Scottish Schools' Cup Final at BT Murrayfield. This will be a wonderful occasion for the players, their families and the wider communities of both schools.

Our teams have applied themselves to a comprehensive training schedule to prepare for this evening and all the boys are looking forward to playing in what should be an exciting game of rugby. We hope that our respective school communities will come together to support and respect both teams in an atmosphere which reflects the values of both schools.

BT Murrayfield will be managing the evening and there is a no-alcohol policy within the stadium as it is a school event and we would respectfully request that all our visitors adhere to this policy.

There is no doubt that both of us will be 'rooting' for our own teams and of course you will too, but let us all enjoy the occasion together and ensure that the players can enjoy our support on the wonderful new playing surface at the home of Scottish Rugby.

Best wishes

Melvyn Roffe                           Andrew Hunter
