Action shot from the semi-final match v St AloysiusOur U18 boys earned their place in the SISFA Cup Final with a thrilling semi-final victory over a strong St Aloysius' College team, and will meet George Heriot's on Saturday 25 June at Ainslie Park, Edinburgh (Spartans Academy), kick off 3.30pm.

This was a great result for our young side, the majority of whom are in S4 and S5. First half goals from Harri McCulloch and Jake Murray (both S5) meant GWC led 2–1 at half-time. But the opponents came out strong for the second half and equalised to take the game to extra time. Again, the older St Aloysius' boys looked strong and took a 3–2 lead into the last few minutes of the game; however, our boys just refused to give in, and, in the last minute of extra-time, found a third goal – a header by Ibn Seaton-Ali (S5) – to take the game to penalties. In a nervy penalty shootout the boys kept their cool and took victory 3–2.

Tickets for the final are available at the Galleon Reception (Adults £5, Children £2) and tickets must be purchased in advance as there will be no cash gate at the ground. Gates open at 3.00pm for 3.30pm kickoff.

There is limited parking near the ground, but the following directions will get you to Ainslie Park on the buses:
Catch the 21 or 27 bus to Ferry Road and alight outside Morrison’s supermarket.
Buses 19, 29, 37 and 47 also pass nearby. If using these alight three stops after passing the Western General Hospital. It is a 5 minute walk along Ferry Road, then turn left onto Pilton Drive, once you pass Morrison’s.
