Twenty-six Medals for Watson’s

On Sunday at the Edinburgh Schools’ Swimming Championships Watson’s came away with five gold, four silver and ten bronze in individual events and three gold, two silver and two bronze in the relays.

Clare Andrew (S4), Kirsty Elliot (S5), Daniel McGregor (S2), who won two races, and Brodie Savage (P7) won the gold medals in the individual events. While the team golds came from our 12–13 squads that won both the 200m Freestyle relays – Lucy Gray and Iona Paterson (both S2) and Kimberley MacKay and Claire Hilton (both S1) for the girls, and Kenneth Drummond (S1), and Daniel McGregor, Calum Watkins, and Rory McLeod (all S2) for the boys. The 11 and under boys team of Brodie Savage, James Cruickshank, Stuart Niblock and Charlie Kidd (all P7) won the 4 x 50m freestyle relay.

Without a doubt – a very successful day for Watson’s at Ainslie Park Swimming Pool.
