Tree for All

Tree for All

Published on 27 March 2019

Thanks to the free trees for schools programme from the Woodland Trust pupils from our Environmental and Sustainability Committee have been planting 90 trees on the school campus.

Pupils were keen to help offset the carbon footprint of the school due to the number of foreign trips we run.

In addition, we are funding and taking part in a partner tree planting project at Zomba Forest Lodge in Malawi.

The trees planted today will make up a hedgerow of dog rose, hawthorn, elder and crab apple. They will increase the biodiversity on campus and our Primary and Nursery pupils who were involved today will be able to see the fruits of their labour once they are in the Senior School.
