Track and Field Medal Bonanza

Our athletics team had a fruitful visit to the Scottish Schools Championships at Grangemouth on Saturday, winning four gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.

Scott Hughson won the under 17 400m in 49.08s (a new School record) and the 200m race; Firouzeh Mitchell won the under 14 200m and silver in the 100m; and Chris Scott won bronze in both the under 15 Discus and Shot Putt competitions.

In the javelin competitions, Alan Berry won gold at under 19 level, while Sarah Myles and Matthew Reid won Bronze at under 19 and under 14 level respectively.

Silver medals were won by Toby Harris (under 17 100m hurdles), Gabby Votta (under 15 100m) and Ramsay Young (under 14 80m hurdles).
