Map showing UgandaEilidh MacKinnon (P7) performed superbly in the grand final of the EuroTalk Junior Language Challenge 2007.

The Junior Language Challenge, was open to every primary school child in the UK, and Eilidh was one of 36 very nervous, but excited, contestants on Friday in London.

The children had to compete against each other playing computer games against the clock in Lugandan - a language spoken in Uganda. So speed, skill and memory, as well as knowledge of the language were essential.

The standard was extremely high and Eilidh did really well, coming first amongst the Scottish contestants and 15th overall.
