pupils spell out SICK KIDSThis term the Junior School has held two major events in support of the Sick Kids New Pyjamas Appeal, which aims to raise £15m for the new Sick Kids Hospital.

In early October, the pupils and teachers donated £2 to wear their pyjamas to School! Over £1,900 was raised.

The next event took place on Thursday 12 November and made the front page of the Evening News. This event required a perfect autumn day and it was! All the pupils in the Nursery and the Junior School, (nearly 1,000 pupils) got together in front of the Senior School building to form the letters in 'SICK KIDS'.

Mr Tony Gorzkowski flew overhead in a plane and took an amazing aerial photograph. The children watched him circling in the sky and waved as he took the picture. Each photograph is being sold for £5 and all the proceeds will go to the New Pyjamas appeal.

To date nearly £3,000 has been raised from Pyjama Day, Friday collections, individual pupils and a raffle for a cake made by one of the Junior School catering staff.

This is a great effort for a very worthwhile cause!
