Cyclist meet Chris HoySisters, Emma (S2) and Louise Borthwick (S4) took part in the Scottish Youth Road Racing Championships last weekend at Erskine in Renfrewshire, and proved that Watson's cycling is not all about Sir Chris Hoy.

Emma raced in the under 12 category and, in addition to retaining the girls’ under 12 title she won last year, she won the race outright, beating the boys’ champion in the process.

In the under 16 race Louise took the girls’ championship by a comfortable margin. This added to the under 14 title she won last year.

Louise has just returned from the British Track Cycling Championship and is really looking forward to the UK School Games. The cycling in the Games will be on the road – which is her preferred discipline.
