Pupils with collections for ShoeBiz AppealIn response to our pupils' suggestion to support the Blue Peter ShoeBiz Appeal we have set up two collection points in the Lower and Upper Primary Receptions.

There has been an amazing response to this appeal, and to date, we have collected approximately 850 pairs of shoes! The collection lorry has visited school twice, so far, to collect the shoes and transport them to the Blue Peter depot.

A fantastic group of pupils from Primary 6 and 7 have run the appeal. Every day they have counted and bagged the shoes in readiness for the next collection.

The book Running Shoes by Fred Lipp, who visited the school last term, has also inspired our ShoeBiz helpers. They are giving readings of the book to some of our classes and we hope that this heart warming story will encourage our pupils to continue to support this appeal. Maybe our 'Toetotaliser' will reach 1000 pairs of shoes before the end of term!

A huge thank you for your support.
