1stXV girls with their Scottish Schools' Cup after their victoryOur hockey girls had a successful outing to the Scottish Schools Finals day in Glasgow on Friday coming home as Scottish Champions in the Open Cup and S3 plate competitions.

Our 1st XI girls qualified for the Scottish Schools’ Hockey cup final by beating St George’s 2–0 and winning the East District Cup, with Lucy Hogarth (S5) and Jenny Arthur (S6) scoring.  The team went on to meet Mary Erskine’s School in the Scottish Schools’ final on Friday at the Commonwealth Games Glasgow Green facility. In a very tight, hard fought game, Sophie McGlynn (S4) and Ellie Wilson (S5) scored to beat our city rivals 2–1.

3rd Year girls with their plate after their Scottish Schools' winMeanwhile the S3 girls also qualified for the S3 Scottish Plate Final by winning their East District Cup, and played Morrison’s Academy on finals day in Glasgow. They finished off their season on a high with a comfortable 10–1 win. They played very much as a team and demonstrated excellent skills, which contributed to some lovely open play goals.
