Lydia McDonald (S5) has won second prize in the senior section of The Royal Bank of Scotland Art Awards for her painting Still Life With Plant Forms.
Hundreds of school pupils across Scotland entered the competition, which is sponsored by the Royal Bank in association with the Friends of the Royal Scottish Academy. The aim is to support the artistic and imaginative skills of secondary pupils throughout Scotland, and offer them the chance to gain recognition for their hard work.
The Royal Scottish Academy hosted the award ceremony, at which Lydia was presented with a cheque for £150 by the Vice-Chairman of the Royal Bank, Sir Angus Grossart. Lydia's achievement has also won £150 for the School.
