Primary 1 Nativity Concerts

curtain with stars on itPrimary 1 really sparkled during this year's performance of the Nursery Rhyme Nativity. Each class re-told the story of the first Christmas and dazzled their audiences with a variety of songs and movement.

Children sang songs to the tune of their favourite nursery rhymes to bring the story to life. For example, Special News was sung to the tune of London Bridge and Sing a Song of Shepherds to the tune of Sing a Song of Sixpence.

The children were in full costume and looked like they had stepped back in time. The backdrop of glittering stars really set the scene. We had angels in tinsel collared gowns, villagers and innkeepers in rustic tunics, wise men with velvet robes and shepherds along with their sheep. Mary and Joseph looked upon Baby Jesus lying in the manger.

Well done to all the boys and girls for putting on such a great show! Both parents and teachers were immensely proud.
