The Pipes and Drums of George Watson's College continued their spectacular season by winning two drumming world championships this weekend at the World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green. The drum corps at Juvenile and Novice level both won, while the Juvenile pipe band came second by 1 point. The Novice band came third. To date the bands have won nine Championship titles at Juvenile and Novice level this year. They have also won at the Highland Games at Dunbar, Bathgate, Innerleithen and North Berwick. Iain Simpson, Pipe Major, said, 'The Bands' performances were immense, and to have won two World Championships titles, when there was a record turnout of the world's best bands is fantastic.'
