Pipe Band in JapanThe Pipe Band have returned from another unforgettable trip to Japan. This is the third time that the Pipe Band has visited Fukuoka in southern Japan, and on this most recent tour the Principal was one of five staff to accompany 23 Band members.

Highlights included performing at the Global Area sports complex, a live TV concert, performances for two schools on the island of Tsushima and, of course, a day out at the Spaceworld Theme Park.

The Japanese people were very friendly, hard working and welcoming. The boys and girls made a huge impact with their excellent piping, drumming and manners, and were a credit to their parents and the School.

Our pipers and drummers also had a very successful day at the Lothian and Borders Mini Band, Solo Piping and Solo Drumming Championships which took place on Saturday 24 April at Craigmount High School. A total of 22 prizes were won by pupils and bands from Watson's.
