Published on 21 May 2019

We are delighted to announce that two of our Nursery pupils have been awarded special merit in the National Galleries of Scotland Art Competition for schools.

Freya Moore (left) and Emma Savage (right) entered the competition along with over 8,600 entries from all over Scotland across the age categories, receiving merits in the Nursery category.

Winning entries will be framed and exhibited at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art-Modern ONE from 1 June - 22 September 2019. The exhibition will also then go on tour to The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Borders General Hospital in Melrose.

A selection of works will feature on postcards and a calendar, which will go on sale in National Galleries of Scotland shops and a copy of the calendar will be sent to every school in Scotland.

The girls have been invited to a prize-giving ceremony in Edinburgh, to receive their prizes.
