Near Clean Sweep at Scottish Schools' Ski Championships

One of our ski team on what was a great day for GWC skiingA great day of skiing in lovely conditions resulted in almost a clean sweep of medals at the Scottish Schools' Ski Championships at the Midlothian Snowsport Centre yesterday.

With three individual gold medals for fastest in category, three team golds and a team silver, it was a successful outing for our skiers.

Gold medals were won by Alannah Lawrie (S3) the fastest girl overall; Duncan Greenshields (P7) minors fastest boy overall; Jemma Clarke (S1) minors fastest girl overall; the senior boys (Duncan Kuwall (S4), Dewar Wright, Harry Carruthers, Andrew Greenshields (all S3)); the minor girls (Jemma Clarke, Louise Sandland, Eilidh Skinner (all S1) and Isabel Travers (P6)); and the minor boys (Alisdair Sandland (S2), William Dalziel (S1), Duncan Greenshields (P7) and Jamie Sandland (P6)). Our senior girls (Lucy Robinson (S6), Philipa Carruthers (S5), Alannah Lawrie (S3) and Anna Greig (S1)) won silver.
