At the Scottish National Age Group swimming championships held last week at the Royal Commonwealth Pool, Craig Hamilton (S6), Daniel Lee (S6) and Ailsa Small (S2) all won medals.
Craig became National Champion in the 16–18 age group with his hat trick of gold medal wins in the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle events and silver medals in the 100m and 200m freestyle. Craig has recently been selected for the Great Britain team that will be competing in the European Junior Championships in Prague later this year.
In the girls’ 13 age group competition, Ailsa’s gold medal in the 100m breast stroke and silver medal in the 200m breast stroke won her the National Champion title. She is currently a member of the Scottish Youth Development Squad.
Daniel won a bronze medal in the boys’ 16–18 200m Individual Medley.
