Over the last few months, we have been working with a couple of artists to develop some Watson’s merchandise that we believe parents, pupils, staff and former pupils will find attractive.

In the run-up to Christmas, we believe that they may also prove to be very suitable Christmas presents. Both are artists whose artwork may already feature on the walls of our families’ homes.
Dave Cowan sells his ‘Scotland in Detail’ montage photographic prints at the Parents’ Association Christmas Shopping Event each year, and his montages of Edinburgh institutions, and scenes are very popular. We were delighted when he said that he would like to feature Watson’s as one of his subjects.
Stephen O’Neil prints feature iconic buildings and items and he approached the School due to demand from former pupils for a print of Watson’s. His prints capture the Senior School with the cherry blossom and the Galleon in May, and the results are stunning.

Profits from the sales of these prints will come to George Watson’s College and our Development Office is coordinating sales.

The prints and other merchandise can be purchased by contacting

Please note that due to the nature of the products they will need to be collected from the Senior School Reception, no merchandise will be posted out.

The final date for orders which will be able to be picked up by the end of term is Friday 4 December, although the prints will continue to be available.
