What a week for Neil Mantle, Brass Teacher and the Conductor of the School's Concert Band and Training Band, who is playing in the brass section of the orchestra for this week's production of The Sound of Music.

At the weekend, which was packed with last minute rehearsals for the School show, it was announced that he had awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to music in Scotland.

Gareth Edwards said of the win, “We are fortunate to have Neil's involvement in Watson's music and our congratulations go to him on this tremendous recognition of his contribution and service to music in Scotland.”
