Interscholastics Trophy for our Junior School Athletes

Interscholastics Team 2013Our Junior School athletes had a very successful day at the Edinburgh Primary Schools Sports Association (EPSSA) Interscholastics competition at Meadowbank Stadium, yesterday. 

The 30 children taking part reached the final round of almost every event they competed in.  The Primary 6 and Primary 7 girls took gold in their respective relays, with the Primary 7 girls setting a new EPSSA record of 58.31 seconds.  `meanwhile, the Primary 7 boys took silver in their relay race.

Individual medals were also won by Heidi Floydd, who set a new EPSSA record of 3.94m, winning her the long jump gold medal; and Isla Innes and Cailin Hart, who both won silver.

The Primary 6 and Primary 7 girls won the shield for best performance on the day and the performance of the team meant that Watson's won the most points and took home the Interscholastics Trophy.
