International Century for GWC Teacher

Batsman about to hit cricket ballScotland's most consistent batsman of 2006, scored 109 runs in the ICC International Cup match against the United Arab Emirates at the weekend. Neil McCallum, a member of the George Watson's College PE Department, is currently touring with the Scottish Saltires in preparation for the World Cup, which is taking place in the West Indies in March.

Mr McCallum will return to school, just in time for the school cricket season.

Principal of George Watson's College stated, 'We were delighted when Neil was selected for the International squad and had no hesitation in agreeing for him to pursue his cricketing aspirations. Our young cricketers are inspired by such talented and dedicated role models like Neil, who himself is a former pupil of the School. We wish Neil and the Scottish Saltires every success on tour and at the World Cup.'
