Girl playing hockeyThe 1st XI has had a great start to this season having won every match that they have played.

Last Wednesday they went to Aberdeen for the Robert Gordon’s Tournament and won the competition having won their three matches (against Glasgow Academy, St George’s, and Robert Gordon’s). They scored 13 goals in the three matches, conceding no goals.

Yesterday they played in the East District Tournament. They won through to the semi-finals, having beaten Fettes, Balerno, Heriot’s and North Berwick, and met St George’s. A two-nil win brought them to the final against Mary Erskine’s, and a single goal won Watson’s the Tournament. In their six matches they again scored 13 goals with only a solitary goal by Heriot’s in reply.

Looks like it could be an interesting year.
