Boys rowingAndrew Holmes (Class of 2009) continued Watson’s success at rowing on the international stage at the weekend when he became Scotland’s first ever world junior champion in the sport.

His GB crew won the coxless fours final in the World Junior Rowing Championships in Brive-la-Grillade, France, having overcome a strong start by Australia and a fast finish by Romania to take gold.

Mr Gareth Edwards, Principal, said, “Following so close after Callum’s success last weekend, Andrew’s achievements highlight the hard work that he and all our rowers put in year round. I am delighted that Watson’s has been able to play its part in his success and we all wish him continued success and fulfilment in the sport in the years to come.
