The Novice Juveniles competing in their heatThe Novice Juvenile band won the World Championship for the third year in succession at Glasgow Green. In one of the largest competitions ever, with 240 bands from 14 different countries, the Novice band won their morning qualifying heat and then went on to win the 12 band final. The Novice drummers also claimed top spot. The Novice drummers won the Champion of Champions title for the 14th year in a row.

In the Juvenile grade, our Juvenile band narrowly missed top spot and ultimately had to settle for a well deserved second place. The Juvenile drum corps also won the Champion of Champions title.

These results means that one of our bands has won the Worlds every year since 2011.

You can watch event highlights including interviews with GWC pupils this Wednesday 19 August at 7pm on BBC1.
