Today we celebrate 20 years of the George Watson’s Family Foundation, and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the Foundation over the years and enhanced the lives of so many pupils.
On such a significant day, we are delighted to announce the Foundation’s latest legacy, from the late Donald James Millar (Class of 1966). At School, Donald won the Douglas Grant Prize for Composition in Music, and the Robertson Instrumental Music Prize. To recognise his love for music, a third of his legacy has been used to purchase a Steinway Grand Piano, which will arrive at Watson’s this month and enhance our already excellent Music Department. More information about Donald is available here.
The strength of the Foundation depends on wide ranging support from the whole Watson’s community, and we hope that we can count on all of you to ensure that the Foundation’s future is bright.
