Our finalists at the British Senior Students’ Tennis Finals The George Watsons College girls’ tennis team (Eleanor Good, Rebecca Adair (both S6), Claire Errington (S5) and Laura-Beth Sproule (S4) qualified for the British Senior Students’ Tennis Finals in Bolton by beating Strathallan School and Conyers School, Stockton-on-Tees.

In the finals they lost their first match against Sevenoaks School, played very well to beat Cheltenham Ladies’ College, with all four players winning at least one series of games. In a close final match they lost out to Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth 1 College from Leicestershire.

One of the highlights for the team was an excellent win for Eleanor Good in our team’s final singles match of the weekend, when she beat one of the highest ranked girls in the tournament.
