Go The Distance

Since January, the Junior School has raised almost £1,000 for the schoolchildren of Tuni whom Mrs Dick is teaching during her sabbatical to India. We have recently raised more funds through Go The Distance, a sponsored collective challenge for children from P1 through to P7.

This challenge, which also served to promote the importance of physical exercise, took place during the Junior School Health Cycle.

Here's what the children did to rise to the challenge!
P1 Walk through the Darjeeling tea plantations (tea bag and spoon walk across the Astroturf)
P2 Walk up Mount Everest (walk around the entire campus)
P3 Indian Cricket (20 minutes of non-stop cricket)
P4 Dance around the Himalayan foothills (15 minutes non-stop aerobics )
P5 Swim the River Ganges (10 widths of the GWC Swimming Pool)
P6 Dance through the Indian Jungle (20 minutes non-stop Scottish Country Dancing)
P7 Race across the Thar Desert (March Hare)
