The Home Economics Department recently held the school heat for the Future Chef competition. This competition is organised by Springboard Charitable Trust and is designed to raise the profile of cooking in schools whilst supporting the food curriculum. It also encourages our young people to have an interest in food as well as developing their culinary skills.
Nine pupils from the S3 Standard Grade class took part, producing a hot main course for two people with a budget of £3.50. Well done to all those pupils who took part, and special congratulations to winner Tessa Birley and runner-up Murray Baillie.
