Stuart McInally leads U18 team out at Murrayfield 2008Disappointment greeted the news earlier this summer that Sir Chris Hoy (Class of 1994) had withdrawn for the Scotland team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi to allow him to concentrate on the European Championships, which form part of the ranking process for the 2012 Olympic Games.

However, currently we know that Watson’s FPs are represented in three sports in the Commonwealth Games this October.

Sarah Jones (Class of 2001) will be participating as part of the Scotland Freestyle Wrestling Team.

Former Scotland No 1 Junior Squash Player, Harry Leitch (Class of 2003) is part of the six person squash team representing Scotland.

Meanwhile, Andrew Turnbull (Class of 2000) and former head boy, Stuart McInally (Class of 2008) will line up in the 12 man Scotland rugby 7s squad.

So Watson’s still have plenty to cheer about.
