The Senior School pupils make a GWC on the grass in front of the Senior SchoolToday is Foundation Day, we take this opportunity to remind Watson's pupils of the importance of the George Watson's Family Foundation, ensuring that children from less advantaged backgrounds can be provided with the opportunity of a Watson’s education.

This is also an opportunity for the Watsonian community to give back and ensure we can continue the legacy of George Watson for future generations.

Last year the School provided Foundation places and Short Term Support for 184 pupils, costing £1.3 million. With 44% of pupils on bursary support receiving 90% or more financial assistance, this was only achieved thanks to the support of our donors.

The Senior School pupils will raise over £3,000 today by wearing their own clothes and making a gift to the Foundation.

The Junior School has already been raising money this term in aid of the Foundation, with a fantastic programme of activities. If you would like to support the Foundation please visit the Foundation Day 2016 website (https://www.watsonians.org/foundation-day-2016)
