The five finalists at the final awards ceremony of the London finalsFive of our Primary 6 pupils made it in to the final of this year's Junior Language Challenge in London.

Having studied Spanish or German followed by Greek, Gregor Carson, Toby Jones, Jessica Power, Pablo Castellanos and Gregory Fenning went on to learn Chichewa, the official language of Malawi, for the final event in London!

They were among 33 other competitors and three of them – Jessica, Gregor and Pablo – made it to the final round of 12, with Jessica finishing in seventh position.

They have done exceedingly well in this UK wide event involving 3.500 children, raising money to help children in Malawi in the process. They received their awards from Martha Payne, the girl who created Mary's Meals.

Congratulations to them.
