Our fingers are crossed for Eilidh MacKinnon (P7) who is going down to London at the end of the week to compete in the grand final of the EuroTalk Junior Language Challenge 2007. The event is taking place during The Language Show at Olympia.
The Junior Language Challenge, now in its fourth year, is a nationwide competition, which is open to every primary school child in the UK.
The journey to the final has meant Eilidh has learned Polish (for the first round), Mandarin for the semifinal and now Lugandan, one of Africa's many languages spoken in Uganda, for the final!
Good luck, Eilidh!
