This weekend, 13 of our Design, Technology and Engineering pupils visited Copenhagen on the Department's Danish Design Trip.
The aim of the trip was to inspire the pupils through Scandinavian Design and Architecture. Over the weekend pupils visited the Danish Design Museum, the Danish Architectural Centre, and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. They took a bike tour of the new Architecture of Copenhagen, swam in a "harbour pool" and discovered more about how the Danes have made Copenhagen one of the more sustainable cities in the world.
The trip was a resounding success and the pupils were all very inspired by their visit, and certainly got an insight into what makes the Danes some of the happiest people on the planet.
