GalleonLast night’s Junior School Spring Concert provided the large audience with an excellent evening’s entertainment.

Opening with a rousing performance of Highland Cathedral by the Pipes and Drums, the repertoire of the Junior School Choirs and Musicians was both varied and entertaining. Irving Berlin. Mozart, Strauss, Abba... there was something to suit the tastes of absolutely everyone in the audience. The talent and enthusiasm of the young performers was a pleasure to watch.

The finale involved around 400 singers and instrumentalists in an authentic rendition of Mr Blue Sky by the Electric Light Orchestra, complete with all the special vocal effects that would have been expected by the audience.

This was a concert that moved along, taking its audience happily into Spring.
