A highly successful season for our Juvenile band and the Juvenile drum corps meant that with the wins today they walked away with the Champion of Champion titles. The Juvenile band did this by winning 'the grand slam' of all the major championships (Scottish, British, European, World and the Cowal Highland Games). The drum corps  won all except for the British Championships, where it had come second.

Today, the Novice Juvenile band won their competition to finish their year on a high. This year they started with a win at the Scottish Championships and the band were placed second in the British, European and World Championships. The Novice drummers won two of the championships this year – the Scottish and the British Championships.

Today's performances were witnessed by Gareth Edwards, Principal, who applauded the Pipes and Drums outstanding season. "Congratulations to the Novice Juvenile band on another very successful season. As for the Juvenile band, its success in achieving an unprecedented 'grand slam' is a tribute to the enormous hard work and dedication of the band members, the loyalty and commitment of the parents and the absolutely outstanding team of staff. As I saw the day in Dunoon unfold I could not have felt greater pride in the School, the band members and the impeccable manner with which they conducted themselves."
