On Tuesday 8 December members of the Chamber Choir braved the cold and wet to sing carols at Edinburgh’s Christmas Market.
Situated on the ‘pyramid’ between the Royal Scottish Academy and the Scottish National Gallery, they sang a variety of traditional and modern carols in aid of Waverley Care, a charity that provides care for people living with Hepatitis C or HIV.
Karen Docwra, fundraising manager for Waverley Care, said “Thank you so much once again for the Chamber Choir’s fantastic contribution to our fundraising. I’m delighted to let you know that we raised £219.24 while the choir was singing.”
Members of the Chamber Choir also sang carols to entertain lunch queues in both the Senior dining queues and the new Junior School dining hall on Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 December in a very busy week in the run up to our Festival of Nine Carols and Lessons at St Giles’ at 7.30pm on Wednesday 16 December.
