Busy Week for Junior School

Pipes and Drums at the Junior School Spring Concert 2013We had another incredible week in the Junior School at the end of term with many utterly superb days.

In the Lower Primary the P3s had their very own exciting Egyptian Day, dressing up in stunning outfits from that time. This special day links in with their Egyptian topic. Furthermore they have learnt about the great and powerful Pharaohs and the helpless slaves.

In the Upper Primary we had two similar events.  For the P5s there was a marvellous Medieval Day.  As a treat they got to dress up in grand, regal (for the boys!) and beautiful (for the girls!) costumes. It was a magnificent and colourful day. Also, the P4s had a very special day: they did a number of enjoyable activities, such as making delicious bread and stunning jewellery.

The Upper Primary Spring Concert was a major success! Almost everyone from the Upper Primary took part in this phenomenal production. There was everything from The Sound Of Music P6/P7 choir medley to the wind and brass orchestra playing Don’t Stop Believin’

The P7s topic this term was Enterprise. We were split up in to groups of four and had to come up with a product, a company and everything that you need to start a business. We had an enjoyable time. There were six teams chosen to be in the final. Two Edinburgh Napier students were members of a lovely judge panel. The winner was Headstart! with their educational baby mat. Their advert was hysterical!

Another terrific week at Watson’s!

Annabel and Katie (P7)
