Pippa GoodhartThe Book Week this term welcomed two authors to the Upper Primary. The Primary 4 pupils were entertained by Pippa Goodhart, an English author whose books include A Dog Called Flow and Ravenboy. The children were fascinated to find that Pippa is also a ghost author for some of the Winnie the Witch books, under the name of Laura Owen. She explained how simple actions or events can inspire amazing plots for stories.

Nicola Morgan, the Edinburgh author, visited the P7 year group. She explained how she gets her ideas for books and how she enjoys using Edinburgh as a setting. In fact, her latest book is set just around the corner from George Watson’s!
