Junior School

Our Junior School is the perfect setting for children to build on their early learning experiences and to prepare for the next step on their educational journey.

Whether your child has been part of our Preschool or is joining us in the Junior School for the first time, they will benefit from the skill of our excellent teachers and the many other advantages of being a pupil in one of Scotland’s leading primary schools.

Our curriculum is designed to provide a strong grounding in literacy and numeracy to ensure that pupils can take advantage of the full range of learning and enrichment opportunities available to them. As well as being taught by their class teacher, they will increasingly have input from specialist teachers in subjects such as Art, Music, Physical Education, Drama and Languages (French and Spanish) as they progress through the school.

Health and wellbeing are also central to our Junior School curriculum. Our pupils learn how to stay safe and healthy and develop the resilience that will help them thrive in the future. 

As well as being keen and effective learners we also want our pupils to be creative, to be bold in trying things out, to see the world with new eyes, to enjoy the outdoors and to have fascinating experiences at school that they will remember fondly for the rest of their lives.
