Hey! Come Play – Improvised Music (S1-S6)

Following a brilliant two day summer camp, we are delighted to welcome Dan Jackson back to lead a three day camp for senior pupils. This unique camp is open to anyone who plays an instrument and would like to give improvisation a go. No experience or set skill level is required, just a willingness to listen and respond to yourself and others. The perfect complement to term-time music tuition where there are no mistakes – only unexpected directions.

Camp Leader Biography

Dan Jackson is a mainstay of the Edinburgh improvisation scene. Dan has run improvised music nights in the University of Edinburgh halls of residence, tutored for Tinderbox Orchestra and attended Edinburgh Napier University Summer Jazz School. When not running music nights, Dan works in pupil support for high school students.
