George Watson’s College runs a wide variety of holiday camps and other activities for current pupils, as well as children attending other schools.
Sports Camps
Multisport Easter and Summer Camps
Multisport Camps are available during the Easter and summer holidays for children in Primary 3 to S3. Our aim is to develop a range of skills within different sports. All activities have qualified coaches and follow a set programme, which includes fitness, skills development and games.
Cricket Easter Camp
Open to children in Primary 4 to S6, this camp provides an opportunity for children to develop their cricketing skills in a fun and enjoyable environment, enabling them to enhance their skill levels prior to the new cricket season.
Hockey Summer Camp
Run by The Galleon Club for children in Primary 3 to S5, Hockey Camp provides a great opportunity to brush up on skills and fitness for the start of the new season, in a fun environment.
Rugby Summer Camp
The Galleon Club runs pre-season ‘Rugby Skills Courses’, for children in Primary 3 to S5. This is an opportunity to brush up on skills and fitness, with an emphasis on developing rugby skills and techniques. Activities include skill drills and practices, modified games according to age, level and ability and fun games culminating in the unique ‘Rugby Olympics’ on the final day.

Drama Schools
Easter Drama School
Open to any child in Primary 5 to S2, the Easter Drama School runs over the Easter break from Tuesday 2 April - Saturday 6 April 2024. Pupils engage in various drama activities, usually following a theme, and could include workshops in Devised Drama, Process Drama, Dance Workshops, Singing, Costume and Prop Making and Design. More information and application forms will be released soon.
Summer Drama School
Open to any child in current Primary 4 to S2, our Summer Drama School provides workshops in dancing, improvisation, acting and lots of drama games. It provides the opportunity to encourage pupils to participate, build confidence and develop interaction through the medium of drama. Previous Summer Schools have followed themes of Glee, High School Musical, Oliver and Grease. We will be running the Summer Drama School Monday 1 July - Friday 5 July 2024. Holiday Club and Music Camps
Due to the demand for places, Holiday Club and Music Camps are currently only available to pupils attending George Watson’s College.
Holiday Club
Open to pupils from Preschool to Primary 7, Holiday Club provides a flexible package of care, allowing parents to book sessions that suit their individual needs.
The Holiday Club operates during all school holidays with the exception of Christmas, New Year, Good Friday and Easter Monday.
The Holiday Club is open from 8am to 6pm.
Children are required to bring a packed lunch, water bottle and waterproof jacket.
Fresh fruit and a light snack are available in the morning and afternoon, or if your child prefers they are welcome to bring their own snack, however, please note we are a nut free school.

Pipes & Drums
The Pipes and Drums run camps in the Summer holidays open to pupils studying Pipes, Drums, Chanter, Stick & Pad.
Pipers and drummers of all levels receive quality tuition at a suitable pace, on an individual and group basis covering instrument maintenance, music theory and practical work with the emphasis on fun.
On the afternoon of the final day, pupils are encouraged to perform for their family and friends before receiving a certificate for their efforts.

Caritas Strings Summer School and Strings 'Taste and See'
Caritas Strings Summer School is for children already learning violin, viola, cello and double bass and gives tuition in a variety of ensembles and orchestras, the emphasis being on creativity and fun.
Recommended ages from Nursery to Primary 4.
The 'Taste and See' Summer School is for children considering learning violin, viola or cello. It will give musicianship classes as well as an opportunity to receive initial tuition on all these instruments.
