Fees

Tuition fees for pupils are reviewed annually in June for the following session. As part of the school’s Fee Affordability Strategy, fees have been frozen for the 2025 / 26 session. You can opt to pay fees annually, monthly by direct debit (over 10 months) or termly. If you pay fees annually and/or for future years in advance through our Fees in Advance (FIA) Scheme, you can benefit from a 1% discount.

School fees from 1 January 2025 are shown inclusive of 20% standard rate of VAT for P1-S6.

Fees capped at a 1.8% increase for 2026/27 and three-year Fee Affordability Strategy extended

Since the introduction of VAT in January 2025, restoring fee affordability for parents has been a key priority. It’s why we introduced the Watson’s three-year Fee Affordability Strategy – freezing fees in 2025/26 with a commitment that any fee increase in the next two years would not exceed 3%.

Our commitment to minimal fee increases (no more than 3%) for a further year, gives our families visibility on fees right through to summer 2029.

Fees for Session 2026/27 Termly Monthly (over 10 months)
Preschool £12,570 £4,190 £1,257
Primary 1 & Primary 2 £13,120 £4,373 £1,312

Primary 6 & Primary 7 £15,975 £5,325 £1,597

There are additional costs that are not covered by school fees. These would include items such as uniforms, books, school-managed laptops (from P7), residential trips and school lunches. We encourage families to keep these in mind when planning for the year ahead.

Financial Assistance

George Watson’s College is proud to support over 200 current pupils who are in receipt of some form of Financial Assistance. Our assessment criteria include financial need and also consider social or educational adversity with a focus on pupils who would not otherwise be able to access a Watson’s education.

More information on the process and criteria can be found in our Financial Assessment Guidance

Applications for 2027/28 onwards, which require financial support, will open in Autumn 2026.
