Watson's athletes scored an impressive victory at the Scottish Schools' Athletic Association Primary Road Relay Championships on Saturday.
The P6 boys' team of Finlay Blackstock, Patrick Barnes and Sandy Mackay ran exceptionally well to take first place, beating 32 other teams. Finlay was blocked a little at the start, but then powered through the field to put Patrick into second place – Patrick carried this on, making up ground on the runner ahead. In the final leg, Sandy went into the lead early and ran away from the field to bring the team home well in front.
In other categories, the P7 boys and P7 girls were both 7th, running very well, while the P6 girls came in 10th. All the runners gave their all and should be proud of themselves.
