Drumming success for the Pipe Band
To mark 150 years since the founding of the George Watson’s Ladies’ College, a special tapestry has been designed by Scottish Artist, Andrew Crummy (Designer of The Great Tapestry of Scotland) with former pupils and the wider school community creating one of the 16 panels that will form the new crewelwork embroidery.

The proceedings began with the Rededication of the George Watson’s College War Memorial, in commemoration of Watsonians Ruby Grierson (1903-40) and Irene Bathgate (1920-1941).

On Saturday 2 October at 2pm, a small group of our pupils sang the school hymn, Ex Corde Caritas, to celebrate 150 years since the opening of George Watson’s Ladies’ College (GWLC).
