SQA Results 2021

Senior School Building

Pupils at George Watson’s College have been celebrating the achievement of some excellent grades as announced yesterday by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). Over 90% of all grades awarded to pupils for National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher qualifications were top grades (A and B) in S4, S5 and S6 respectively.

Principal, Melvyn Roffe said: “I wish to congratulate our amazing pupils for what they have accomplished and withstood and how they have thrived this year. The truth is that we should not, as commentators suggest, be telling the story of a “lost generation” but of a stellar generation: a group of pupils that has demonstrated resilience, exercised responsibility and developed resourcefulness.”

“I would also like to thank my great colleagues who have supported our pupils through this challenging period while also taking on a significant additional workload. Thank you all for everything you have done for our pupils.”

Given the unique nature of this session's assessment process, these data should be considered provisional and confirmed figures will be added to our website on the conclusion of the SQA post-results service.
